Your minimum wage debate was interesting in the study of the 2 pizza places where one applied minimum wage and the other didn’t which I had read about before However reading recently in California many pizza huts are laying off workers ahead of new minimum wage laws been introduced puts more perspective to the theory.
I would be of opinion min wages are a bad idea as it adds more costs to employers who just end up hiring less to meet extra costs.
Regarding Irelands situation with the min wage is inflation is so high that many employees would be getting the min wage anyway regardless of the law being introduced.
