Interesting concept. I'd double the tax relief on pension contributions for under 35's. DR
Also as someone just after turning 35 I wouldn't benefit. When I was in my 20s and early 30s I was earning so little that tax made feck all difference to me.
I think it's a daft idea. Every year there'd be pressure to increase the age and you'd have a whole segment of pissed off voters every year moving from low tax to normal tax. If it's about solving the housing issue then put a 1% tax on every property in the country. That might encourage a few empty nesters to sell up or rent a room. Also there'd be huge resentment from people who were earning low wages in their younger years then being taxed higher just when they start earning proper money in their 30s.
