Great podcast as usual.. On the noises being made by likes of Holohan, it's up to us - society as a whole - to tune them out (our media in particular) - and it would be great if we had politicians with a spine, but maybe that's too much to wish for.

Sounding a bit paranoid on precedent for government control, we already have regulations around fire, health & sanitation in buildings, something related to viruses may not be a bad idea in the long run (air quality standards, for example).

Very good. We need people to hold the Govt to account using the information that has been verified and released to us. One part of this is the much lower levels of transmission when outdoors. One the one hand you have Tony Holohan driving about admonishing people for drinking outdoors while at the same time they are making a distinction between indoor and outdoor socialising in the reopening programme. This is cake and eat it territory by the powers that be. Also wtf is Tony Holohan doing getting directly involved in this stuff for. If he has a concern, tell Stephen Donnelly to get the message out.

Prefer hearing you talk about economics, and poltics. Too much science this week which is not your forte e.g. Mc Conkey is not on Nphet and It's possible Covid came from a lab leak but there is zero evidence that it did. However there is a lot of molecular and epidemiological evidence that it came from a spillover from nature.Specifically farmed wild animals.

I'd say Biden's call for a 90 day investigation is suggestive of some evidence. Wall St Journal has stated 3 lab workers presented with Covid symptoms last November.
