Regarding the discussion on the comments ye have been receiving, didn't FG, before forming the current govt, say that they would step aside and allow SF have a crack at governing? Am i misremembering that?
I wouldnt be at all surprised if there were people grudgingly voting for them next time out. As ye suggested, they likely wont get any further than the current government has got with housing. Regarding border polls i think the next cycle will still be too early for one to be successful. Let SF see if they can fix the big issues in Ireland, let them see how easy it is to be on the sidelines relative to being in the action. Then the cycle after that they will have had their shot and people will be able to see that there wasn't much difference between them and the incumbents. In other words, its hard to be in government making tough choices without a bottomless pit of money.
Yes Kevin I agree totally. I hoped SF would go in to Gov last time with the other self-declared party of the left and of the Republican tradition. You campaign in poetry and govern in prose.
The figures re trade with NI should published repeatedly as a demonstration of the Protocol dividend!!
Indeed they should Deirdre.
