Roll on ChatGPT for my son & daughters education (and teachers too). They are using it daily to help source subject info rather than rambling google and visiting 101 sites sprawled with adverts and going down rabbit holes.

Yes they can also use .ai to automatically build their PowerPoint presentations, basic websites and generate images with endless backgrounds, but they’re still actively learning just at a much fast speed than we used too!

This is a real game changer and we should all utilise what helps us most.

I first heard about ChatGPT on you podcast in Nov and immediately started using it and enjoy its opportunities while being aware of the negativities also. I am now 73 and wrote my first computer program in machine language at the age of 16. Having witnessed all the developments in computing down the years I think this is by far the greatest development since www. Your podcast is not only informative in many different areas politics, economics, society changes, house building limitations etc but at times goes beyond that. This episode tying up all the above but also the implications of AI in the presence of a knowledgeable guest ...... one word ENTHRALLING ! Keep it coming. Martin

Many thanks Martin, your kind words are very much appreciated. It always helps us when people who like the pod tell their friends about us. In that vein, would you mind if I used your comment (anonymously) when we are advertising the pod? Don't worry, a refusal won't offend!

I was getting to grips with BASIC when I was 16 - so I am mightily impressed by you programming in machine code at the same age. I've got the Chatbots to write me some code for various things - it takes 2 or 3 goes to get it right but it short cuts a lot of grief.

Thanks again. Chris

No problem using my comment whatsoever.

It is well outside my normal written material writing books and articles on the subject of dyslexia!

Great pod,

Completely agree with your call on Microsoft. I recently sat in on healthcare AI seminar. What MS are building into their Azure package is amazing. The only problem is healthcare moves at a snail’s pace. The sooner it adopts it to improve efficiencies in ever manner the better.

I was very intrigued by Gary’s comment on the company telling the intern to do a course in ChatGPT. Any idea what course the company recommended for them to do?
