If it would interest you, I'd have some further ideas garnered from conversations with fellow developers, both of my generation and younger, that might provoke some conversation about potential solutions, with particular focus on the supply side. Leaving this to the politicians is not likely to produce an optimal result - to put it mildly. So, getting feedback from the other stakeholders in this scenario might help us all get creative. It would be nice to see some initiatives coming from our young dynamic society to deal with issues that are now common in the developed world.
What's needed is a platform for presenting ideas that isn't hijacked by populist voices.
