In our latest podcast we reply to some of listeners’ comments (which are always welcome, good bad or indifferent). Somebody suggested we need a bit more positivity - easy when it comes to Ireland. A lot harder when it comes to the UK.
The continuing denial of political and economic reality in the UK means that what you see is what you get: nothing will get better very soon. Language is important. Some lies don’t matter, nobody gets hurt. Some lies cost lives. Chris gets very angry.

This week’s ‘Autumn Statement’ in the UK is really a maxi-budget. One based on bad economics. The UK does not have a fiscal black hole. That’s just another abuse of teh language, one of Brexit’s most sinister legacy. It is very distressing to see a G7 government in the grip of a cult.
