Why did the media not analyse the governments help to buy policy in more detail. No Gov TD would admit it has caused prices to increase despite all the evidence showing house prices continue to rise. It’s a sad state of affairs when it took a PBP candidate to explain that indeed this is the problem. Giving people money to buy houses Well guess what that’s exactly what they will do therefore increasing prices as bidders have more to compete with each other. Another failed gov policy.
